Eyza Carrasco, M.A.
I am Eyza Carrasco (she/her), a Medical Assistant at Aralia Health. My path into healthcare began through military service as an Army Medic, where I learned the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care and staying calm in high-pressure situations. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I was drawn to Aralia Health because of its individualized approach to caring for the whole person.
Throughout my education and career, I have become increasingly interested in the relationship between mental and physical health. I believe our bodies are interconnected systems, where our emotional well-being, lifestyle, and physical health all influence one another. I enjoy being part of a team that encourages patients to take an active role in their health.
Beyond clinical care, I have participated in psychology research focused on the relationship between mental and physical health, social connection, and well-being. My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology, where I hope to study how psychological processes influence physical health, with particular interests in stress, resilience, and mind-body health.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me training in boxing and mixed martial arts, experimenting with new recipes, or spending time with family and friends. I believe movement, community, and lifelong learning all contribute to a healthy, balanced life.
