Peripheral Treatments can include any injection therapy directed at addressing the skin, muscle, and nerve tissues. Scar Injections focus on breaking up scar tissue in the body. Whether scars are surgical or from trauma, they can lead to fascial and muscular restrictions, decreased blood and lymphatic flow, and stress on joints. Releasing these restrictions can help your body move more freely. Trigger Point Injections involve injecting solution into muscle. Trigger Points are spots that illicit pain that radiates and are sometimes felt as knots in muscles. Injecting these areas can release restrictions and relax muscular tension. Perineural Injections involve injecting around nerves to calm down nerve pain and inflammation. This can help resolve pain and relax muscular tension related to nerve hyperreactivity.
